Adele Cut Short At The Brit Awards

Adele : The 6 award Grammy winner to then winning two awards at the Brit’s last night was cut short of her award ”Best British Album Of The Year” and also won ”Best British Female”

ITV1 producers had told presenter James Corden to stop Adele half way through her speech and was never given the chance to at least thank her fans.

She had said,  “I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans. I’m sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me,”

Adele last weekend had won Six Grammy Awards and capping a year of huge success. According to her record label, the London Singer’s second album 21 has sold 17 million copies around the world and hit number one in 24 countries

Accepting the best album prize the final and most presitgious of the night she said :  “Nothing makes me prouder than coming home with six Grammys and then coming to the Brits and winning album of the year, “I’m so proud to be British and to be flying our flag.”

But there were boos from the audience as she was interrupted in order to introduce the final performers, Blur (who had already had 5 mintues allowed speech time when accepting their award) Adele then added :  “Can I just say, then, goodbye and I’ll see you next time round.”

Her gesture was then visible live on the ITV1 coverage.

“I was about to thank the British public for all their support but they cut me off,” the star later said backstage. “So thank you very much for all your support. It’s amazing.”

ITV1 Later issued a statement about the incident saying : “The Brits is a live event. Unfortunately the programme was over-running and we had to move on. We would like to apologise to Adele for the interruption.”

A Brits spokesman added: “We regret this happened and we send our deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short, We don’t want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning our night’s biggest award. It tops off what’s been an incredible year for her.”

To be honest i just feel that Adele was not credited for all the hard work she has done through out her career, she was more accepted on the Grammy awards which is a shame to us British people.

One direction and Blur yes they have done well and achieved well with their music but both were not cut, both were spent more time on in my eyes but no one is happy to of why Adele’s award winning one of the best prizes to win that night was sent off just so Blur could perform and nobody really was concentrating on Blur.

The Brit awards to me was very unprofessional last night and should know how to time as they have been doing this event for years, instead of cutting Adele they should of cut Blue’s 5 minute long speech and 11 minute performance that’s 16 minutes all together of the Brit’s time more then what Adele had including her performance.
