Happy St Lucian Independence Day
St Lucia (in the west Indies) hosts its Independence Day every year on February 22nd.
Betweens the time of 1959-1962, St Lucia joined the West Indies Federation, they then progressed to self government status in 1967 and full Independence in 1979. Today on the anniversary of the Independence St Lucian’s commemorated this special day with parades and fairs throughout the island. This Independence day is also full public holiday here on the island, A proud day for all St Lucian’s
Me being part St Lucian, i have celebrated with a typical nice Rum on the rocks with Soca music on play. It was great weather earlier but still got the high spirits inside me. Happy that i know my family are happy today and celebrating over in St Lucia wish i was there so bad to join them but it means so much to them and that means alot to me.
